Welcome
Few cities in Canada have organizations like the Federation of Calgary Communities. We are a not-for-profit umbrella organization serving the needs of Calgary residential community associations. Through specially designed programs and services, we assist communities in urban planning and administering their associations.
Calgary's first community association was formed in the 1920's. By the 1950's, an expanded number of community associations fostered the need for a united association of community representatives. Approximately 40 communities came together to form the Federation of Calgary Communities. On August 10, 1961, the Federation of Calgary Communities was registered under the Alberta Societies Act as a not-for-profit society and the Friends of the Federation of Calgary Communities Society is an incorporate register charity supporting the Federation of Calgary Communities.
