The Neighbourhood Grants Program is
an initiative of The Calgary Foundation that aims to
build participation and leadership in neighbourhoods by:
- Supporting residents to transform ideas into action
- Building cooperation between residents and community organizations
- Encouraging involvement from residents of diverse backgrounds
The Neighbourhood Grants Program supports projects initiated and undertaken
by community residents that:
- Celebrate History
- Encourage Youth
- Create Beautiful Spaces
- Share Resources
- Promote Safety
- Build Connections
The Federation of Calgary Communities and The Calgary Foundation have collaborated to enable
Calgary Community Associations to receive funding for community projects through the Neighbourhood
Grants Program.
The Calgary Foundation is only able to support projects undertaken by a registered charity
located in or directly benefiting Calgary. Through the Neighbourhood Grants Program, The Calgary
Foundation has provided funding support to various projects undertaken by The Friends of the
Federation of Calgary Communities and its member community associations. The Federation of Calgary Communities provides
administrative support to the grant agents in order to ensure the Community Association projects
are a success.
