The Woodcreek Community is located in Calgary's southwest and combines the Communities of Woodbine and Woodlands. The two Communities began to develop in the early 1980’s and have grown to over 5,600 residents. The location borders beautiful Fish Creek Park and provides easy access to Glenmore Park, local retail stores, major shopping centers and the south LRT system. There are two Public elementary schools and a Catholic elementary school in the area.

The Woodcreek Community Association is extremely active and offers a variety of programs for all ages. A major community centre addition has just been completed and will become the hub of activities in the Community. Organizations operating in the area are Girl Guides, Boy Scouts, the Bulldogs football program, a busy Woodcreek Seniors program and a very active Woodcreek Lions Club. There are many playing facilities including tennis courts, two paved skating rinks, basketball nets and several playing fields. One of the highlights of the year is the Stampede Breakfast in conjunction with the Hull Child and Family Services.

Other activities located in the neighbourhood include a fitness centre, karate club & dance studio.

Now that the expansion of the Centre is complete, we look forward to providing more activities for all ages.
