Community Description

go to top ^

Windsor Park is a small vibrant inner city community. It is located between Elbow Drive and MacLeod Trail and 50 Ave SW and 58 Ave SW. The community is comprised of multi and single family dwellings. The Chinook Shopping Center is located just south of Windsor Park. There is a special education school ran by the Providence School in Windsor Park as well as 2 churches and several senior – adult only facilities.

In 2012 a state of the art Fire Station will be built to replace the existing Fire Station. There is also a strip of land along the ridge above MacLeod Trail that the City of Calgary has designated for a new park. Plans for the park are to be started in 2012.

The Windsor Park Community Association is extremely active and sponsor events throughout the year. A major renovation to the community center was completed in 2010 and a brand new multi age playground was added next to the community center in 2011.

Windsor Park is a desirable inner city neighbourhood that is a wonderful place to live.
