The community of Southwood is located in southwest Calgary and is bounded by the communities of Haysboro to the north, Willow Park to the east, Canyon Meadows to the south and Braeside to the west. Southwood has developed, since 1959, into a predominantly single family residential community. The proximity of the Light Rail Transit (L.R.T) system and major transportation routes allows for easy access to Downtown and other areas of the City. Fish Creek Provincial Park and the Glenmore Reservoir offer recreational opportunities for Southwood residents.
