AUDITOR
Heidi Brauer CMA and Nancy Murdoch CA, provide essential audit services community associations and small not-for-profit organizations. We have worked hard to build a positive team based environment and strong client base, and are looking for an audit professional who us interested in making a difference in our communities to join our team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide professional audit services to no-profit clients, including:
- Assist in planning and performing audits of not-for-profit organizations;
- Perform testing for compliance to regulatory bodies;
- Assist with the completion of audit working papers and audit programs;
- Recommend operational controls and process improvements;
- Determine solutions that add value to client organizations;
- Communicate findings directly to clients;
- Mentoring and coaching the in-house accounting support staff.
Provide consultation and education services to member Community Associations and non-profit organizations, including:
- Plan, develop, implement (or ensure implementation) and evaluate relevant workshops and seminars;
- Source resources required for workshops or seminars.
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to build positive working relationships;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Analytical problem solving ability;
- Self directed with a sense of accountability;
- Demonstrated organization and time management skills;
- Effective public speaking and group facilitation skills;
- Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Recognized accounting designation required;
- Auditors certification required;
- Minimum of five years of accounting/audit experience.
HOURS OF WORK:
This is a 40 hour per week position. Flexible hours.
