Every month ‘Get Engaged!’ the Federation’s Newsletter highlights different community initiatives, events and also provides valuable information on community planning, non profit finances, and organizational management.

Community associations create a place to belong, a sense of well being and a place for neighbours to connect with one another. Celebrating Communities is a program that recognizes and celebrates community associations and the volunteers that make Calgary’s communities a better place to live. This includes special “Celebrating Communities” events, volunteer recognition awards, and promoting community successes and stories by profiling them in the local media. The Federation is proud to celebrate its member communities and looks forward to expanding this program in the future.

Volunteer Recognition
The Federation has different awards to recognize the hard work that volunteers put into their communities. If you would like to nominate a volunteer in your community please click here for an electronic version of the Toole Peet community hero nomination form, print it out, enter the volunteer you would like to nominate and send it into the Federation’s office. The Federation of Calgary Communities has formed a partnership with Calgaryarea.com Inc. to provide all Calgary Community Associations with website space to voice their local news and events. Currently community associations have presence on both of these websites: calgarycommunities.com, Calgaryarea.com.
